Students recently performed a Reader's Theater Play to practice our fluency along with speaking and listening skills. They have also practiced participating in collaborative conversations.
The strategies we have learned, so far include: Counting On, Proof Drawing, Make-a-Ten, Number Lines. Next week we will learn about ways to represent numbers and expanded form.
You can help your child by practicing two-digit addition and subtraction problems, with regrouping and ungrouping. Ask your child to choose his/her favorite strategy and have them explain how they solved the problem to you.
