Mrs. Moore's Homepage
7th Grade Science
Hello and Welcome!
My name is Shannon Moore and am excited about the upcoming school year! I am married to Brandon Moore and we have three boys.
I am a graduate of Auburn University where I received my Bachelor's in Animal Science and my Master's in Curriculum and Teaching. My teaching experience has been in both Madison and Autauga County Schools where I taught Biology, Anatomy, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry. I love teaching and excited to be here at Meridianville.
My Family
We live in Madison County where my husband farms in a traditional row crop operation. Agriculture has a big impact on our lives and I love sharing lessons learned with my students. My other interests are gardening, hiking, and any thing that includes being out on the water.
Notebooking
We really use our notebooks! It is worth the investment in a pencil pouch filled with all the essentials! It takes work, but will be worth it in the end. Remember, if you take them home to work on your pages, they must return the next day.
Outdoor Classroom
We love learning outside! We are thankful to our partnership with the Winfred Thomas Agricultural Research Station. More about FEAST and the SOIL Project on my canvas page.

Strawberries Galore!
With help of local farmer, Noel Brown, we planted strawberries and studied the effect of mulch on fruit production.
My philosphy on teaching is simple...
I believe that every student has their own talent and that is my job to be organized, well prepared, observant, approachable and as consistent as possible, so that all students can thrive in a classroom environment.
