Elmination, Prevention and treatments of the Zika Virus
Scientist are working to eliminate the Zika virus with genetically modified mosquitoes, which would prevent the Zika carrying mosquitoes from reproducing. But while we are waiting for Zika to be eliminated, we need to prevent ourselves from getting it. The only way to do this is by preventing mosquitoes bites. You can prevent mosquitoe bites by wearing long-sleeved shirts and pants, or by staying in places with air-conditioning, window screens, and door screens.
Should you catch the Zika virus, you will need to be treated. You can treat the virus by getting plenty of rest and water. To reduce the risk of bleeding, do not take asprin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs until dengue can be ruled out.
