AIS Spirit Night

Thanks to all of you who came out to our 1st Spirit Night of the year! Phil's & Amy's will generously donate $469 back to AIS. Save the date for the next event at Blaze Pizza on Thursday, October 3rd.


Back to School Night

We enjoyed visiting and sharing with you at last night's Back to School Night event. If you missed any of the presentation, you may access the slides here.


French Government Visitors

Our French Government guests enjoyed their visit to AIS today. Thank you for welcoming them to our community.


Last Day to register for Fall Afterschool Activities!

AIS offers some amazing after school activities in French, Spanish, and English. TODAY is the deadline to sign up or change activities. A few classes may be canceled due to low participation, so make sure to sign up this evening so we can save your spot. If classes are canceled, you will be notified next week. You may contact Jhino Medrano and Sandra Herrera if you need assistance in adjusting your schedule.

Registration is available via your Parents Web Account. To enroll your student(s) in a class, follow these steps:

  1. Login to your Parents Web account.
  2. Open up the Student Menu on the left side banner.
  3. Click on Course Request.
  4. And select the desired class(es) from the pull-down menus.
  5. When you have selected all your desired classes, scroll to the bottom and hit SAVE.

Payments will be processed through the FACTS/Renweb system and will be due on September 13th, 2019.


Labor Day-No School-Mon., Sept. 2

We hope you enjoy the long weekend in observance of Labor Day. We will see you on Tuesday, September 3rd.


Head of School Coffee-Thur., Sept. 5, 8:30-9:30 am

On the first Thursday of every other month, our Head of School (HoS), Jacques Weber, will host a HoS Coffee after drop-off. This is a chance to visit with him informally, ask questions, and chat. Occasionally, there may be a subject or theme. Mark your calendars and join him for the first one of the 2019-2020 school year this Thursday.


MAP Assessments Begin-Mon. Sept. 9

Our first round of student MAP Assessments will begin on September 9th. Be on the lookout for more detailed information from the Pedagogical Leadership Team (PLT).


AIS Spirit Store has launched

Thanks for your patronage at our sneak peek of the AIS Spirit Store at Back to School Night. You received special sale prices, plus an additional 10% off. Some other items are in transit and will arrive soon. But you may submit pre-orders here. Be on the lookout for a separate email and future Flash update with more Spirit Store information.

We will sell this Spirit "Swag" on site, once a month, on the days we host our morning coffees. So come visit the lobby next Thursday, September 5th from 8:30 - 9:30 am to get more goodies as you make your way to the Head of School Coffee. If pre-ordered items have arrived by then, you may pick them up Thursday. If those items are still in processing, we will arrange a time for pick-up or have them at the following month's sale. Sale price will continue through September.


Volunteers Needed

Thanks to all of you who have already signed up for volunteer opportunities. You may find an updated list of needs on our Signup.com 2019-2020 Volunteer page. We will add events throughout the year. There are still a few Room Parents needed for the Fall semester in GS1, CE1a, and CE1b. Thank you for your consideration. All Room Parents are encouraged to attend the Room Parent Coffee on September 12th from 8:30 - 9:30 am to receive important information.

We also need folks to sign-up for 2-hour shifts during our week-long AIS Trilingual Book Fair coming in September. AIS staff will be on hand to help during the event. More information coming soon. but you may sign up by clicking on the Book Fair link above.
