MyShowcase Team mid-December update
.......let's end the year with a bang!
Hello lovely team!
I know you're all very busy, but I wanted to take the time to update you on recent news and our plans for early 2016. I also wanted to get in early to thank you for a fantastic year and to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
Remember there are still SIX days left to order with guaranteed pre-Christmas delivery - let's absolutely maximise the return on those days. There are SO many sales opportunities still available - why not hold a last minute shopping event at your house, an online event or offer your personal shopping services to friends or a group ? Help make some chaps into Christmas Day heroes! And of course don't forget your own shopping.
Remember my team incentives run until midnight 31st December, so plenty of time to get a raffle ticket or two! (First draw for a Magnitone Barefaced you need just £350 CSV. Second draw for a £150 product bundle you get a ticket for every £1000 CSV and 2 tickets per qualified new stylist.)
We have 2 new Area Stylist Directors on the team! Emma Drury-Dryden and Silvia Hope-Mason both promoted on December 1st, thereby gaining a place on the MyShowcase leadership team. Congratulations to you both!
Team sales were over £20,000 in November which is absolutely fabulous. Heading up the leaderboard was Sally de Souza, with commissionable sales of over £2000, closely followed by Emma Drury-Dryden and Jane McQuitty. Well done ladies!

It's here! January/February mini book
Landing on your doorstep any day soon, is the new Beauty Book supplement. Kate has introduced 7 new brands and a new 'Wellness' category. This category is PERFECT for the post-Christmas season, as there will be plenty of people trying to make amends for the excesses of the next few weeks! See this month's tips below.
We have organised various team training to supplement the excellent opportunities available from MyShowcase HQ. January dates as follows:
5th 11am-1pm Back to work workshop: business planning and how to achieve Showdown 2016. Hosted by Michele in Rochester.
6th 11am-1pm Skincare Shakeup Training. Hosted by Angela in Orpington.
20th 11am-1:30pm Learn, Earn and Grow course (month 1 of 3). This is a 3 month course for stylists wanting help to promote to Area Stylist Director or beyond. It is by invitation only as spaces are limited, however if this is something you would like to be considered for, please let me know. Hosted by Silvia in Wandsworth.
27th 7:30pm-9:30pm New Stylist Training. This is perfect for new stylists, but also anyone who is perhaps a bit rusty and wants a refresher to get their business up and running again. Hosted by Rachel in Bromley.
For ALL these events, an RSVP is required as we need to organise cake etc! If you'd like to come along please email me, cc your mentor and I will provide full address details etc.
We will be hosting a recruitment event with Sam and Julie from HQ in Canterbury on 19th January (see Facebook team page for further details). If you have potential new stylists they're welcome to attend to find out more about MyShowcase, just let us know in advance.
Also please remember to book for Brand Training - Jan 13th for London / Jan 14th for Birmingham. Places are limited to only 120 stylists at each venue, so don't delay!
This month's top tip - Maximise January sales by planning NOW!
Here are a few tips for getting a strong start to your business in 2016:
- Print off monthly calendars and plan dates you want to showcase, front load January as some may cancel, offer special extra gift if they book early.
- Approach slimming clubs and gyms - with lots of people making New Year resolutions these are great places to host a showcase, for new skincare or to update a look.
- Host your own showcase as a thank you for past clients and hosts.
Offer detox showcase themes; detox your skincare, revitalise your makeup bag.
- Keep your contact list rolling, make a resolution to call 3 a day starting on the 4th January.
- Ask everyone at your showcases when they would like to book theirs?
- Text your contacts rather than email, more than 95% of people respond to a text, double the amount that respond to email:
- Text customers after Christmas to ask how they enjoyed their products and wish them happy New Year, then in the New Year contact again letting them know of showcase opportunities.
- Look out for events in your area and get involved.
- Ask for referrals.
