What We Are Doing This Week

Reading:

This week will be our 100th day of school. Hard to believe we would have been in school 100 days. We will continue the activities for “100th Day of Worries”. We will look at how one little girl looks at the 100th day of school. We will be making inferences, synergizing and looking at character traits.

On Wednesday we will start a new reading called “Wild Weather”. We will be looking at the different kinds of weather. Thought this would be fun after our recent snow days.

Phonics:

Lesson 68 - Diphthongs oi, oy

Lesson 69 - Suffixes -let, -ly

Spelling: since we didn’t take our test last week, we will review the words from last week and take the test this week.

Writing:

We will continue to plan and develop a draft.(personal narrative)

Grammar:

We will continue to look at conjunctions and how we can use them in our writing to make our sentences better.
