Why is Cinco de Mayo celebrated?
Cinco de Mayo is celebrated to remember and celebrate the Mexican victory over France at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. This battle was a symbol of Mexican resistance to foreign domination.

Cinco de Mayo is often celebrated in most cities in Mexico. (mainly Puebla) It's also celebrated in some United States cities with high population of Mexican heritage. It's also found being celebrated along the U.S-Mexican border that also have high populations of Mexican heritages.
