BA Applied Beharioral Science and Cognitive Studies
A little bit about me...
I’m a 29 year old mother of three handsome boys and happily married, living in the beautiful state of Florida. My boys are the main reason why I decided to go back to school and get my degree. Being a single mom was not easy. However, I did not want that to be my excuse for never achieving anything. No matter the odds against you, you can succeed. Through dedication, hard work, and sacrifice you can achieve greatness. I am living proof that you can do it! Recently married, now I’m juggling a full-time job, husband, and three children. However, through focus and time management, I have a 3.86 Cumulative GPA and a 4.0 Major GPA. I’m also a member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Chapter (Honor Society). I am a double major seeking a Bachelor’s in Applied Behavioral Science and Cognitive Studies. I plan on going to graduate school and obtaining a Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling with a certificate in Military Resilience. I’m currently in the Early Childhood field as a VPK (State Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program) teacher at Eglin AFB and love it. Being a teacher and preparing my students for Kindergarten is very rewarding. However, I desire to branch out and reach children and families outside the classroom. I joined CHAMPS because I know all about trying to balance your personal life with your educational goals. I joined CHAMPS because I want to make a DIFFERENCE, I want to ENCOURAGE, and I want to INSPIRE. I have natural gift of helping people and I would like to use it to help you.
