Tips on having a successful start to school this week!
- picking out his/her clothes for the next day
- organizing his/her school materials to bring to school
- packing a snack and water bottle to bring to school
- getting a good night sleep
- eating breakfast
- arriving at school between 8:15-8:30 am
This will be an adjustment for all of our students, as they have spent the past 7-8 months at home with family. Breaking away from parents to walk through the gates of our school may be easy for some and not easy for others. With encouragement and support, we can help our students persevere to walk through the gates, see their teachers, meet new friends, learn new routines, and embrace school as we know it now.
Drop off and Pick Up Map!
We encourage you to identify where you want your child to wait for you to pick them up.
Students in TK and K will wait in the TK-K yard to be picked up.
Students in 1-5 wait in the front of the school on a yellow hoof or
yellow dot until their ride comes.
Students in 1st and 2nd grade are asked to wait on campus for their ride and are not invited to walk down the stairs unless there is an adult with them.
All bike riders are asked to walk bikes on campus.
We anticipate that drop off and pick up may take a few extra minutes the first few weeks, as everyone get reoriented to the expectations of driving in our parking lot again.
Please drove slow, pull up to the curb and have your child exit the curbside, remain in your car at all times, and be careful when driving away. Watch out for pedestrians in our crosswalk. Handicapped parking spaces re reserved for those with a blue handicapped tag, that must be displayed while parking there.
Students need to exit the car with their masks on.
Temperatures will be taken at each entrance. Thank you for prescreening your child at home.
Tk-2 Recess
Our Staff will be there to help students be successful!
3rd-5th Recess
Students at recess will:
- Wear masks
- Stay in designated zones
- Have access to handwashing and bathrooms
Our Staff will be there to help students be successful!
GRAB AND GO LUNCHES
If you would NOT like to have your child take a GRAB and GO Lunch home every day, please let your child's teacher know, so they can notify the cafeteria tp make one less lunch for their classroom.
There will not be snacks available for purchase at recess time, so students need to bring their own snack from home.
REMOTE students/ children 2-18 yrs old in the community:
Lunch will be available through the left door of the MPR for pick up from 1 pm-1:30 pm! (New Time)
