TECOS
Technology Education Course of Study, 2009
TECOS for grades 9-12 primarily applies to computer applications and/or career prepartory courses. However, with the implementation of Canvas there are several objectives that are applicable across the curriculum.
The following objectives are relevant across the curriculum.
11.) Critique digital content for validity, accuracy, bias, currency, and relevance.
12.) Use digital tools to publish curriculum-related content.
Examples:
Web page authoring software, coding software, wikis, blogs, podcasts
Updated examples: Uploading videos to Youtube, smore newsletters, etc.
13.) Demonstrate collaborative skills using curriculum-related content in digital environments.
Examples:
Completing assignments online; interacting with experts and peers in structured, online environment.
If you are using CANVAS, it is a good idea to document TECOS, #13.
