Newsletter Week 9 Term 4
Brooklyn School Monday 12th December 2022
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Kia Ora Brooklyn Families,
A week of CELEBRATION awaits as we gather to reflect on the wonderful learning journeys travelled by our tamariki over the past year. We look forward to having our families join us for the upcoming Prize Giving Assemblies and share in the success of our brilliant students. This will be the first time that we have been able to gather for these occasions since the onset of the Covid pandemic and we warmly welcome you all this coming Wednesday to clap and cheer!
There are still other exciting events to look forward to over the coming days with productions and class trips still to be held. We thank again the unfailing support from our families. You are always there for us and step up to provide assistance when and where you can.
The Brooklyn Disco took place last Friday and it went off! Well done to the FOTS team for their amazing organisation – yet again and special thanks to the resident DJ – Amanda was ‘in da house’ delivering the essential sounds! The costumes, colour and outright crazy enthusiasm was full throttle as everyone channelled the ‘B’ theme. Yet again, a wonderful parent turn out who enjoyed excellent food and a chill out in the Room 6 Café.
Reports are being prepared for our students and these will be delivered home on Friday of this week. These reflect the wonderful progress and achievement attained by our students and they should all be very proud of their academic and social growth.
So, as this will be the final newsletter for this year, on behalf of the Brooklyn Board, Staff and students – I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a restful, safe holiday break that is full of Good Times.
Have a great week everyone.
Chris
