Newsletter Week 3 Term 2

Brooklyn School Monday 16th May 2022

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Kia Ora

Week 3 is upon us and we are busy, busy! The students are approaching their respective mid-year assessment cycles and the outcome of these will be used to inform our Brooklyn parents and of progress as part of our reporting processes. This is a very important time as we look at prior goals that have been set, achievement and progress made and the development of potential 'Next Steps' for all of our learners.

The Winter sports cycle has also commenced for Brooklyn students with many children involved in both weekend and inter-school sporting activities. Thank you to those wonderful parents who have generously donated their time to coach and manage as we ALL really appreciate your efforts!

Clearly Brooklyn School is still working through its Covid journey, with both students and staff away sick at this time. As always we encourage our families to keep their children at home if unwell and we certainly hope that we are almost at the finish line in regards to Covid, only time will tell until then we strongly encourage the continued use of masks.

Remember to take a close look at the Term 2 Calendar below so as to be prepared for upcoming events. Please mark down our Term 2 Teacher Only Day on Monday 27th June.

Have a great week everyone and stay safe.

Kind regards,

Chris
