REMINDERS Regarding ATTENDANCE:

ATTENDANCE MATTERS: Consistent attendance is one of the keys to academic success. Parents can help their children succeed by ensuring their attendance, except when illness or extreme family emergencies occur. When absences are necessary, a signed Parent note of explanation is required. In the case of a medical appointment, proper documentation from a physician/dentist would be needed. All notes need to be received in the attendance office within 3 days of the occurrence.

 TARDY POLICY: An unexcused tardy occurs when a student enters the school after the 8:40 am bell rings or leaves early from school before the dismissal bell rings at 4:05pm. A doctor or dentist appointment with proper documentation is not considered a tardy. Extenuating circumstances will be considered on an individual basis.

 ABSENCES: Please call the Attendance office at 281-357-3134 ext.3009 or email doristorres@tomballisd.net when your child will be absent. Please note a call does not excuse the absence. When your child returns to school please provide appropriate documentation as listed above.

Thank you,

Kristen Lee

Assistant Principal

Car Rider Line Reminders

As a reminder -

  • We are asking that students sit in back seat when available.
  • Please be sure to have proper seating and safety restraints for all students.
  • To minimize touch and prevent spread of illness, we ask that you help in buckling your students in before exiting the car rider line.
  • If you need assistance, please let us know, but staff is focused on loading students into seats. We ask that parents please secure all safety restraints.

Afternoon Car Rider -

PLEASE Stay in your lane - switching of lanes throws of our process of sorting students and impedes the flow of car rider line.

Thanks for your help - Decker Prairie Car Rider Staff
