Principal's Message
A special thank you to everyone who is able to make conferences marking our first informal exhibition, a level-up/graduation requirement. We hope to see you at community breakfast on Monday November 6th. And lastly, I am super excited for the football team to make its first attempt at the State Playoffs, if they win, it will be the first appearance in History.

District Policy Advisory Committee
MARYSVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT
DISTRICT POLICY ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Marysville School District is seeking student, family, staff, union, and community representatives to participate on a district policy advisory committee that will discuss district policies for review and adoption and provide critical perspective and feedback to the school board. The committee will not be responsible for adopting policy but will provide feedback, as requested by the Superintendent, the Executive Director of Legal/General Counsel, or the school board, on policies that need revision or policies that will be revised, adopted, or considered by the school board. Depending on the policy language or revisions needed, the committee may not review policies that are routine in nature or those requiring the correction of typos or grammatical errors. Read more about the types of policies and the role of the committee in the guidelines.
Individuals interested in applying to serve on the committee can use the linked application form no later than November 10, 2023.
The advisory committee will ideally be comprised of no more than 20 members broken down from the following constituencies, provided interested and qualified individuals apply from each group:
7 family/community members (from both Marysville and Tulalip)
1 individual from each union with active membership in the District
4 high school students (1 from each school)
8 administrators, teachers, or other staff members
If more than enough applicants apply, the committee will be determined using the criteria above by the Executive Director of Legal/General Counsel and district leadership staff.
Questions about the committee may be emailed to claudette_rushing@msvl.k12.wa.us or sue_shea@msvl.k12.wa.us.
