Bromley East Charter School

December 4, 2020

BECS Families:

The first week of remote learning is in the books! Thank you for your patience and support as we made the temporary transition. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your student’s teacher or an administrator if you have questions or are in need of further assistance with any facet of remote learning.

We continue to plan for a return to in-person learning on Monday, January 11, 2021. There will be more information regarding the transition back to school as we get closer. In the meantime, we ask that you assist us in continuing to adhere to safety protocols that will allow for a safe and healthy transition back to school in 2021.

Take care,

BECS Administration

Intent to Return 20/21 School Year

We are entering the time of year where Bromley East Charter School begins to make enrollment projections for the coming year. It is critically important for us to determine how many open slots are available in each grade so that Registration may begin to fill any vacancies during the open registration period.

We ask that every current BECS family complete our Intent to Return form declaring your family’s intentions for the coming year. Please fill out one form for each of your students.

The deadline for the completed Intent to Return process is Friday, February 26th, 2021.

Please note: The Intent to Return Process is only for existing students/families. If you seek new enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year, please see the details below.

New Student Enrollment

The enrollment window for the 2021/22 school year is December 14th, 2020, through February 28th, 2021. The application deadline to be included in our 2021 lottery is February 28th, no later than 4:00 p.m. Returning Bromley East Charter School students are automatically enrolled at BECS for the following year. They are not required to participate in the lottery process. If there are more eligible students than openings in any class, a random selection (computerized lottery) will be used to select students for any available openings not to exceed the maximum class size. This lottery will take place in March 2021. Please contact our registrar Ms. Elizabeth Sumerix, with any questions. Additional information can also be found on the BECS website.

PTO - Holiday Giving

Thank you to our PTO for partnering with A Precious Child for their Precious Gift Drive this year. Last year alone, A Precious Child fulfilled holiday wishes to more than 13,000 children in need. With the impact of COVID-19, the demand for A Precious Child’s services and programs, like Precious Gift, is continuing to grow. With your help, they can make sure disadvantaged children within our community have a wonderful holiday season.

How to help: Use the links below to donate; one has the wish list for items and the other for gift cards. Please select the gift registry address when checking out to have the items sent directly to A Precious Child. Note: All donations and sponsorships need to be completed by December 11th.

Thank you again to our PTO for helping us show the Hawk way!
