First off...
I want to personally wish you all a wonderful holiday season and safe travels near and far.
This week...
Thanks to those who have sent in goodies and volunteered to help with the party on Thursday. Today is the last day to follow the link and get a background check if you want to volunteer and have not done so yet.
HERE is the information about sending things in or coming to help!
NOTE: Some parents have had questions - all of the parties for 1st grade are at 2 p.m. in the gym!
In class...
+We have started working on graphing and have continued to hone our addition, subtraction, and word problems skills in math.
+We wrapped up our animal adaptations unit last week. Groups worked hard to create shoes to withstand the elements in their environments/habitats. There was a lot of paint and boots were a common protection theme. Overall, the results were so fun!
+Our Opinion Writing and writing in general has gotten SO GOOD! Ask your student to read and write over break...you will be so impressed!

Building up an Arctic boot
Using straws to make a boot

And just to brighten your day - these 3 accidentally dressed in similar colors and unicorn-themed clothes.
Up and coming ...
December 21st - Winter Parties
December 22 - January 3 - WINTER BREAK (school resumes January 4th)
HAVE A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY!!
