Help a Rhode Islander in need this holiday season!
In conjunction with the Rhode Island Food Bank, your supermarket is running a food drive, and we need your help! Join in our efforts to raise 500 lbs of food to be donated to hungry Rhode Islanders across the state.
76% of those served have income at or below the federal poverty level.
41% report that they have such limited income that they must choose between paying for food and paying their rent
20% report that an adult in the household has been laid off in the past year and remains unemployed.
1 in 3 persons served by the Food Bank is a child under the age of 18.
66,000 Rhode Islanders served each month.
6% of persons served are seniors over the age of 65.

Here's how it works:
Each donor receives a sticker that says "I helped a child in need".
The stickers are decorative for each month that the program runs.
