Germany vs United States

Significant Statistics
We thought that these statistics were connected, and each affect the food and culture of each country
Population
Looking at this chart, it's clear that the population of the United States is nearly three times the size of Germany's. With this, America is need of a lot more goods and food to prevent starvation, unlike Germany who has a smaller population to worry about. Also, with a bigger population America is spending more money than Germany on food and beverages in order to fit the needs of it's citizens.
Obesity Rate
Because of the diet of the people, Germany's obesity rate is much lower than the United States. The German's diet is much healthier than the diet of American citizens, because they eat less, and they have more nutritional value in what they eat. They don't have as many processed foods, as the United States. Even though Germany drinks a lot of beer, which contains a lot of calories, America is still taking in more unhealthy choices.
Life Expectancy
These charts show that for both men and women, Germany has a higher life expectancy than the United States. This is mostly due to health reasons. In Germany, they have healthier food and are healthier than the United States. They have a better diet than Americans. Therefore, Germany has a lesser chance of getting diseases, than the United States. For example, many American have type II diabetes, because of obesity and an unhealthy diet. Germans still have the same issues, yet at a smaller percentage, because they don't eat as many processed foods
Total Land Area (Square Miles)
Since America has more land than Germany, it's easier for the United States to grow their own crops and other foods. They have more arable land, and are able to grow more produce for themselves, and to trade. Germany has a much smaller land area, yet have enough area of arable land to grow the produce that they need.
Income
The United States has a higher income, at a little over 35 thousand dollars (APC), while Germany, has an income of about 24 thousand dollars (APC). With a higher income, the United States are able to spend more money on foods that they need. But this could also lead to them spending more money, and buying unhealthy, processed foods. Because Germany has a smaller income than the United States, they aren't able to spend as much money on food, which helps them to mainly buy foods that they need. Also, with a smaller income, it would make more sense for Germany to grow their own goods instead of buying them.
Conclusion
Even though the United States has a larger population, land area, and income than Germany, they have a higher obesity rate, and a lower life expectancy. This is because the foods that the United States produces and imports in processed and unhealthy, while Germans have more natural goods, along with some processed foods. The food that people eat affects their overall health, such as if they are obese or not, or how long they are expected to live.
