- Egypt is known for it's river, Nile River, which flows northward and is the main vital source for Egyptians. It deposits soil, which helps lead to fertile farmland.
- Egypt also has the Suez Canal, which is another good source of water

- Egypt created the first national government
- also created the early forms of math and writing
- spoke semitic languages of Asia and some languages of northern africa
- bedouins move across desserts with camels, goats, and sheep
- fellahin tend to animals and farm on small areas of land
