Week of Nov. 6th
Message from Principal Drew...
The PCHS Drama department is pleased and excited to present their Fall production this week. Our students will be performing "Little Women" on Wednesday and Thursday night of this week. The curtain will rise at 7:00 PM each night. Tickets are available at the door for $10 each. Students may purchase a ticket for $5 each. Our talented students are excited to perform and we look forward to a full house each night.
Congratulations to our band, volleyball team and our men's soccer team on outstanding seasons. Our band finished first or second overall in every competition they performed in, our volleyball team finished in the top four of the entire state, and our men's soccer team competed successfully ending their season in the state playoffs. Congrats to all involved with each of these outstanding groups.
Congratulations also to our football team on their playoff win on Friday night. They will play their second round game this Friday at Lakewood High School. Let's pack the stands with Pirate fans on Friday night.
If you haven't done so already, don't forget to set your clocks back one hour for daylight savings time. As a reference this call goes out each Sunday at 6:30.
This week at PCHS:
Monday - HOSA students will travel to HGS to assist with vision screenings
Tuesday - Election day. Be sure to vote in our local elections
Wednesday - Battle of the Books will meet in the media center at 3:05 and the PCHS Drama department will debut "Little Women" at 7 PM in the auditorium.
Thursday - FCA will meet in the gym at 7:30 AM, 1st quarter PBIS celebration will take place in the gym during 4th period, the encore performance of "Little Women" will take place at 7 PM in the auditorium
Friday - NO SCHOOL in observance of Veteran's Day, the PCHS Band small ensemble will perform at the courthouse as a part of the Veteran's Day program,Football will play at Lakewood High School at 7 PM in the second round of the NCHSAA playoffs.

Students interested in becoming a teacher and getting up to $5000/semester in tuition assistance are encouraged to apply. An early action window is open now until November 15th! Those who apply in the early-action window will learn of their award status by December 15th to help plan their college decision for 2024-2025.

Theatre Department Presents: LITTLE WOMEN
The production of Little Women is this week!
The play is based on Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel and brought to glorious life in this tale of the indomitable March girls of Concord, Massachusetts. In a time of great social upheaval, Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth grow from childhood to womanhood through the trials, tragedies, and triumphs of America divided by the Civil War.
The Performance will run for two nights on Wednesday, November 8th, and Thursday, November 9th, 2023. The show will begin at 7 PM, and doors will open at 6:30 PM. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door before the show starting at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $5 for students and staff, $10 for Adults, and children under 5 are free. We hope to see you there!
