Barak Obama
Born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Barack Obama is the 44th and current president of the United States. He was a community organizer, civil-rights lawyer and teacher before pursuing a political career. He was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 1996 and to the U.S. Senate in 2004. He was elected to the U.S. presidency in 2008, and won re-election in 2012 against Republican challenger Mitt Romney.
1. Be Proactive
roles and relationships in life. To have a can do attitude.
"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time."
It can relate to " be proactive". Burak Obama said, we must act proactive and we can achive change ourselves.
2. Begin with the end in Mind
Start with a clear destination in mind.
"If you're walking down the right pathand you're willing to keep walking,eventually you'll make progress."
If we have goal and we are trying to achieve it, we will achieve our goals.
3. Put First things Frist
A manager must manage his own person. Personally. And managers should implement activities that aim to reach the second habit. Covey says that habit two is the mental creation; habit three is the physical creation.
"Fousing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain pverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourslf. Because it's only when you hitch your wagon to something large than tourself that you realize your true potential"
4. Think Win - Win
Genuine feelings for mutually beneficial solutions or agreements in your relationships. Value and respect people by understanding a "win" for all is ultimately a better long-term resolution than if only one person in the situation had gotten his way.
"Faith is not just something you have, it's something you do."
5. Seek First to understand, then to be understood
Use empathic listening to be genuinely influenced by a person, which compels them to reciprocate the listening and take an open mind to being influenced by you. This creates an atmosphere of caring, and positive problem solving.
"Ar in Iraq and there are patriots who supported the war in Iraq. We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America."
6. Synergize
Combine the strengths of people through positive teamwork, so as to achieve goals that no one could have done alone.
"There is not a liberal America and a conservative America - there is the United States of America. There is not a Black America and a White America and Latino America and Asian America; there's the United States of America. "
7. Sharpen the Saw
Balance and renew your resources, energy, and health to create a sustainable, long-term, effective lifestyle. It primarily emphasizes exercise for physical renewal, prayer and good reading for mental renewal. It also mentions service to society for spiritual renewal.
