Celebracion de la Navidad
On Thursday, December 10th,2015, we held our annual EL Christmas Celebration at FLC and had another great turnout. Students and their families ate, played the candy cane game, sang together, and of course the hit of the night was the breaking of the pinata. A huge thank you to Aracelli Osborne from UW Extension Office, to Kate Warncke, Morgan Pelot, Connie Hernandez, Fernando Salazar, Melanie Cowling and Ron Preissner for help with arrangements, invitations, set up and cleanup. Gracias y Feliz Navidad! There are some snacks in the lunchroom today that left over from the celebration.
We Welcome Le Ann Powers
Advocap/Head Start has hired a new four year old kindergarten teacher for our students at ELC. Her name is Le Ann Powers and she will officially start here on Tuesday, December 15th. She has been getting training today, and will again on Monday. We thank Katie Peterson for filling in as a substitute until a new teacher could be hired. I know that the students and Miss Julie are anxious to work with LeAnn. Please help me welcome her to our ELC family!
December 22nd
In the morning, Divine Savior, Mrs. Krug, and Miss April, will be holding their annual Christmas program. Students will frost cookies on Monday, and those will be served after the program on Tuesday morning.
Great Job Arts for Kids
This past Monday, Arts for Kids held their annual Christmas program over at the PAC at HMHS. Each age group sang a couple of songs. Miss Jennifer and Miss Jackie's group of 4k students did a great job with their songs.
Thank Yous to Our Maintenance Team
If you have not stopped by, please take a peek at the first of our two calming rooms. The first one is in Mrs. Guelig's classroom. The door and mats were put up today, and painting will be done over Christmas. The next one to be updated is the calming area in our sensory room. The team had all the lumber here ready to go, as soon as the mats arrived, thanks to Mary Schulze, Dave Mand, Rick Kreiter, and Cliff for the extra work and hours on these room.
