We are excited to see all of you again at BCCA! Despite the challenges of these times, our school year is going great! For those who are new we do a monthly newsletter called "The Messenger", detailing school events and upcoming news! We solicit all of your prayers each day to intercede for our teachers and our students, as we endeavor to instill Christ's character in them. Glad you are a part of our BCCA family.

Dear BCCA Families

Hello Church and School Families,


We have been growing at BCCA! We have 4 new students! It is something incredible to be a part of - the school growing and reaching members in the community. It affirms what we do here at Big Cove when word of mouth is convincing more and more families to come. People were drawn to Jesus and what he taught. Word of mouth spread around Galilee and more and more people were drawn to hear him teach. The same process is happening at Big Cove! It feels good to imitate Jesus and see similar results!


We have some fun event planned for October! On the 25th, we have our Fall Picnic! We will have a bonfire, message, and hayride. I hope to see many of you there!


So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.

Welcome New Teachers!

It is with great excitement that we are happy to welcome our new teachers Mrs. Wendy Boyd and Melissa Boyd to BCCA. Their creative spirit and enthusiastic attitude are contagious with the students. This has been seen in the numerous student work samples and learning on the wall. Thank you also for making outdoor education a part of our ministry. The kids are enjoying their time learning about core subjects through tangible ways. We appreciate you!

Please sign up for Parent-Teacher Conferences. This is a vital part of teaming up with your child and your child's teacher to ensure they are progressing academically, mentally, and spiritually. Career Sharing & Developoment

Career Sharing & Developoment

BCCA is looking for individuals to come in and talk to students about their careers. The older students are at a time where they are seriously considering career paths, and now would be a great time to come and share different aspects of various careers. Also, the students are interested in how the school helps them later in life so having professionals talk about careers and school would be very beneficial for them. The ideal time is on Fridays, but any time is welcome. Please contact Lucas to schedule a time to come in and talk about your job.

Police Visit

Our local police paid a visit to our school and shared with the students what it's like to be a Police Officer. The students were able to check out the police car, try on the equipment, and hear the siren. The Officer graciously answered all of their questions, and each child received a special official Police Officer sticker. We are appreciative their service, and for providing a positive experience for the children.

YARD SALE time! Don't miss out on vendors selling household items (lamps, dresser, bunk beds w/comforter, desk, etc.), kid items, clothing, picture frames, sports cards, and much more at the Yard Sale hosted by Big Cove Christian Academy this Sunday, Oct. 18, from 7:30 am-2:00 pm.

It's not too late to request a table. Small tables are $5, and large tables are $10.

For those who are donating items or would like to request a table, please e-mail contactlisa99@gmail.com for arrangement times. All proceeds go towards BCCA's Pavilion building project. Help us reach our goal!

A tentative pizza lunch fundraiser will be provided from 11:00am- 12:00pm for a small donation. So, stop by and join us for lunch.

BCCA Fall Picnic, Oct 25 (Sunday)

Join us Sunday, October 25, 5:00 p.m., on the field behind BCCA for our annual Fall picnic. This will be a fun-filled outdoor time of fellowship, music, and worship around the campfire, and hayrides too! We will be practicing social distancing.


This year we will not have a potluck. We will be having a picnic style affair but everyone will bring their own hot dogs and buns or other foods and drinks for your family to enjoy. Please bring your lawn chair or picnic blanket, and a roasting stick if you want to roast your own hotdogs over the fire. Everyone is invited!

Pavilion Building Fundraiser

Pavilion Building Fundraiser

Outdoor education plays a big part of learning. As a result, BCCA is planning to erect an outdoor pavilion which can be used for both BCCA’s outdoor classes and other activities.

We are collecting donations to help us build the pavilion as soon as possible. The estimated cost is approximately $5,000. If you are interested in this project, please give your donation to your teacher. Thank you for helping us reach our goal!

Taking learning outdoors (School Garden)

Welcome to Garden Class! Every 2nd Monday the children get the experience of working in the garden. This month we weeded the wood chip garden to prepare it for planting. It time for the fall garden in North Alabama. We planted cabbage and broccoli plant from transplants. We planted and we watered, then we asked God to Bless all once we did our part.
