Happy New Year
Welcome back and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break. We are beginning our second semester of school, and I just want to remind everyone of the importance of students being here and on time every day of school. Teachers have a lot of curriculum to cover and when students miss or are late, they miss out on instruction. Many of the learning activities that students do in class cannot be duplicated to send home. However, we do understand that students get sick. When they are sick and running fever, they need to stay home until they are fever-free for 24 hours. Thanks for your help.
Report Cards and Awards Assemblies
Report Cards for the second 9-weeks grading period will go home on Thursday, January 7th. We will have Awards Assemblies on Friday, January 15. At our Awards Assemblies all students get recognized for a particular area of learning that they are proud of. In addition, Good Attendance and Good Citizenship awards are given. Your child's teacher will let you know what time the assembly is for their grade level.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is a holiday for Cabot Schools. There will be no school that day UNLESS we need to use it for a snow make-up day. If it should snow and we have to miss school in the next couple of weeks, then we will have school that day.
Yearbook Orders
If you are planning on ordering a yearbook, the price is now $25. The last day to order a yearbook is February 26th.
Class Pictures
Class pictures will be taken on Tuesday, January 26th. You will be receiving more information about ordering a group picture of your child's class around the middle of the month.
