Schedule for Friday, 10/9, Fully Remote Learning Day
Below you'll find a PDF with a preview our exciting day of fun and remote learning!
Please note:
- Students have some choice throughout the day; be sure to look at each grade-level band to see options!
- For the STEM activities (K-3), the only materials you'll need are candy corn (or an alternative small item) and a few household items. A printable PDF is linked within the schedule, and was sent home with students on Thursday in anticipation of the day.
- For the SparkShop STEM activities (3-5), students received a ziplock bag full of "MakeDo" tools; they will need these tools for the 10/9 activities and on-going throughout the next fully remote Fridays, so please keep these MakeDo kits at home!
- Teachers will post this schedule for their students on Seesaw or Google Classroom, and will "launch" them into their day of learning after their whole-class 9am Morning Meetings.
- Parent Tech Note: if you plan to access these activities from a personal device (NOT a student device connected to our network), you'll need to open all links through Chrome; Safari and other web browsers are often problematic. Thanks!
Climate Survey Overview... and CELEBRATIONS!
Thanks to all who supported their students at home with completing the Fall Climate Survey, and to ALL students who submitted their answers and shared their voices.
The cumulative data from the survey is a testament to the resiliency, strength, and resolve of our students:
Our Field Park students told us that:
- 99% of us feel safe at school!
- 99% of us have friends at school!
- 99% of us feel like we are a part of our school community
- 100% of us feel that we have NOT been hurt repeatedly, physically or emotionally, while at school ("bullying")
- 97% of us have a grown-up we can talk to at school
These results are truly inspiring, and we are so thankful to hear that our students continue to thrive, even amidst the most challenging of circumstances. Thank YOU for your support at home!
