- Thursday, January 17th from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM – Part II [Chapter 10-12 and conclusion]
I am working on securing babysitters.
A NOTE FROM THE NURSE'S OFFICE
Physical Report & Dental Report: Each student is required to provide a physical exam report when first attending our school (usually Kindergarten). In addition, dental exams must be provided when first entering our school (usually Kindergarten) and in 3rd grade. The PA Department of Health mandates that these reports be provided within 60 days of school start. Please forward the documents to the WTE Nurses Office no later than October 29, 2018, to avoid your child’s exclusion from school attendance.
Food Allergies: As we strive to promote our practices of ensuring a safe environment for our students to learn and grow, we are making some small adjustments to the guidelines for our cafe Nut-Free Table usage:
- Only students with nut-related allergies will be invited to sit at the table.
- Parents must complete the school form if they wish their child to sit at the Nut-Free table.
- If a student is assigned to sit the Nut-Free table and wishes to have one friend sit with him/her, the friend must buy lunch from the cafeteria.
- The content of lunches will no longer be checked by school staff.
Student Health Screening Time: In order to expedite mandatory student health screening, the nurses office will be closed to routine care from 9:30-10:30 am every day. The office is open to emergencies. Teachers will be asked to sign up their classes for a screening day.
More information about food allergies and student health screening is available at the Nurses Office website: https://sites.google.com/wcasd.net/health-office-news
As always, thanks for your feedback. Jeanne
Have You Completed Your Paperwork?
If you have not been on the Parent Portal to do your Back-to-School paperwork, please try and complete it this long holiday weekend! We do need to ensure we have updated information on every single student. It does not take much time.
- Back to School Website - this is the gateway where you access the required digital paperwork to start the year (e.g., health information, bus information, verify contact information, etc.)
- Activity fees - if your child will participate in afterschool sports, band, strings, or chorus
- National School Lunch
- Immunization requirements and this handy "cheat sheet" - As the email indicates, our nurses contacted families with children who had missing documentation. If you are newly enrolled, a nurse will reach out next week IF updated immunizations are needed.
If you are new to WCASD or you having difficulty with access, please call Kelly (484-266-1802). Thank you for your patience and for completing the required forms in advance of the year. It helps us significantly to have it done.
