Things to do

There are a lot of things you can do outside in the Grand Canyon, for example if you have children you can sign them up for Junior Ranger program ,if you are a teacher and taking your class here you can go to some educational programs that include a tour guide.you can also visit a expedition or if you and your family come you can even take a ride on a river trip!you can go to the Grand Canyon Village, and Verkamps visitors center to see what other activities there are to do.

Things to know before you come

Some things you should know before you come is that you should watch out for any falling rocks. And you have to be cautious about landslides because there are a few in the Grand Canyon. Bottled water is no longer sold their so make sure to also bring lots of water.A very important thing to remember to bring is a camera because their are lots of beautiful sights that you just don't want to forget. Admission fees for the entrance is $25 by private vehicle and $12 per person if by foot camping fees are a additional to entrance fees. if you decide to get a anual pass it is $50.The Grand Canyon is open all year 24 hours a day 7 days a week.I suggest you make reservations as far in advance as you can.camping fees are charged over night so it really matters how many nights you stay there not the days when you're camping but you do have to think about what you're doing during the day and how much it's going to cost for example if you have kids or teens or if you are a teacher with students these places might help out with how much some of your trips are going to cost for example the junior ranger program is free so you don't have to worry about the cost of that but some things do cost money like a mule trip that costs $122.80 for three hours.

Wildlife/Nature

In the winter the Grand Canyon is covered by snow but it doesn't last very long because it melts by all of the rain that comes in the winter time.Spring and Summer are the driest and hottest times of the year.If you go you should keep in mind that there are wild animals lerking around so you should watch out. If you happen to come across any animals make sure to not feed them anything!this is because of enviormental reasons. Some animals you might see are the California Condor ,bobcats, coyotes, golden eagles,or even hawks!some plants you might see are fern bushes, willow, serviceberries ,prickly pear, or cacti.

Things To See
