Titan Staff News
Week of April 25
Titans,
Thank you for your work and reflection on the Campus Improvement Plan. I continue to be amazed as I step back and watch you all work together. I love seeing your ideas and how you desire to implement them for the betterment of the campus and our students. Your focus and dedication to our students is a force to be reckoned with!
This week's PLC focus is not new to us - formative assessment. I am requesting you look at formative assessment through the lens of Dylan Wiliam's latest work. You can read more about it here. I urge you to challenge your beliefs as you work through your discussions. I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
Have a great weekend,
Kim

Sweatin' in the PLCs
This week is a FULL PLC. In your groups you will be discussing the various roles of teacher, student and peer during formative assessment. You'll need the graphic below in your conversations.
Formative Assessment
Task: Discuss the following question in your PLC: What is the role of student interaction in the formative assessment cycle? This question will be at the heart of our Instructional Focus for the 16-17 school year. Revisit the graphic on the weekly newsletter as a reference.
