The Aftermath

This just a little bit of what Fort Sumter looked like after the battle. If you look close enough you will be able to see some men trying to help clean up.

The Surrender

Why I chose these pictures:

I chose these specific pictures because I think they show what the battle actually was like, some of the people who were involved, and what the fort looked like after the battle. I chose to do a section on what it looks like today because I would like to encourage students of my age to go out to places like Fort Sumter and learn more about the history of the United States. I also chose the pictures because I felt as if they were very factual.
