Principal's Message
Dear RMS Families,
Fall is here and we hope that your children are enjoying the season even under these unprecedented circumstances. All teachers are utilizing Schoology as a platform for delivering instruction, assigning classwork and maintaining student grades. As a guardian, you should have received parent access codes so you can view your child’s grades, classwork submissions and overall progress in each class. If you do not have a parent access code, please contact a teacher and they will provide you with your code.
We hope that your child is adjusting well and feel that we are back in the swing of things at school. We still understand that there are opportunities for improvement. Currently, we have two teachers piloting technology tools that will aid in better connectivity for both in person and online students. We anticipate sharing the new technology support with all teachers in the next two weeks. Thank you for your patience as we continue to get better with providing instruction to our students.
Thank you to all families that participated in conferences this Wednesday. We have another conference date set up for Wednesday, October 7th. If you have not had a chance to sign up, please contact your child’s teacher for an opportunity to discuss her/his progress in school. Additionally, you can always reach out to teachers for virtual conferences anytime during the school year.
In closing, due to the pandemic, we are holding off on conducting school pictures as well as school assemblies. For school pictures, we will plan to take them in the Spring. School assemblies for honoring academic gains are currently being discussed. We don’t anticipate conducting the assemblies as we did last school year. However, we will find innovative ways to celebrate our children’s achievements. Be looking for an update on protocols for celebrating our scholars by the end of the quarter.
We hope that you enjoy the month of October and please reach out to our school team if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Ms. Appiah-McNulty
