From the Nest...
We are settling into our routine and quickly moving our instructional program forward in our official 5th week of school. Teachers have been busy gathering and utilizing pre-assessment data in reading and math and planning appropriate differentiated instruction that will meet the needs of all of our children.
Incredibly, September 16th marks the midpoint of Quarter 1! This is a great time to check in with your child's grades in Schoology to see how they are doing in class. If you ever have a question or concern about the instruction taking place in your child’s classroom, we encourage you to call or email your child’s teacher. This is a critical step in maintaining a strong and productive partnership in teaching and learning. As always, our administrative doors also remain open to you. Never hesitate to send an email, or give us a call.
Tomorrow, we will hold our Emergency Preparedness Day. Our students and staff will practice a number of emergency preparedness drills. Student safety and well-being are of the utmost importance to us at YSES. We will be sharing information via Find out First tomorrow with the list of drills we completed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact YSES administration.
As always, we thank you for your continued support and partnership in our educational program.
Warm regards,
Hannah Feldman & Lisa Wrzesinski
