8th-Grade Promotion Ceremony Communication
Dear Students and Parents,
This year’s 8th-Grade Promotion Ceremony will be held outdoors, at the football stadium. The date and time will be Wednesday, June 2nd, at 1:00 PM. Students should arrive at the Middle School no later than 12:00 PM. Students should report to their 1st-hour classrooms and walk with their cohort out to the field. The outdoor venue will allow us to have up to 8 spectators per student.
Students who are unable to be dropped off at 12:00 will be able to take their normal morning bus to school and attend an all-day study hall until the ceremony starts. After the completion of the ceremony, students will be released to go home with a parent or take their bus home at the usual time.
Additional mitigation requirements include: maintaining 6 ft. of distance between spectating families, wearing masks, and multiple locations of hand sanitizer stations throughout the stands. Please plan accordingly so we can make this event as fun and safe as possible.
To aid with planning of the event, please fill out the short RSVP survey below. We need to know a rough estimate of how many spectators will be attending, as well as whether or not your student will need a morning bus route pick up.

If we run into inclement weather, we will hold the ceremony at 9:00 AM the following half-day of school, Thursday, June 3rd.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Scott Stockwell
