PRINCIPAL'S CORNER

This week is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week.

I would like to say thank you to our staff for their endless work this year. They have been challenged to teach in many new ways this year. No one could have ever dreamed this is how learning would have looked. Our Abrams staff did it with endless grit. They pushed through and did what they knew needed to be done to help ALL of our students and families find success.

I am proud to say that I am a member of this team and a member of the Oconto Falls School District community. We have great things happening here and I tell everyone I can about how awesome it is here. If you have not had a chance to tell your child's teacher thank you, please be sure to reach out and send them a little note. We could not educate our children the way we do without the great work of the staff here at Abrams.

Join me in saying THANK YOU ABRAMS STAFF FOR BEING WHO YOU ARE!

Parents, thanks for all you do to help us educate your child.

Please contact the office if you are in need of anything.

Collection of Chromebook Chargers

Time to return Chromebook Chargers.....Families in grades 2-5 should have a Chromebook charger at home. We need to get these back and begin to inventory them. If your child were to need to be out due to a quarantine, we will send a charger home at that time.

Please send the charger back with your child if you have not done so yet.

Notes from the Office

Shoes: Please remember that closed toe shoes are needed for recess for safety reasons. No flip flops or sandals should be worn. Thanks

Time for Laughter

Joke of the Day:

What happens to a frog's car when it breaks down?

.....It gets toad away.

Summer School

Summer School Registration is now open and classes are filling up fast. Transportation registration is scheduled online through Skyward. Bussing is not a door-to-door service, instead stops are made at selected intersections and landmarks. In order for students to ride the bus, parents will need to schedule the pick up point/drop off point in Skyward/Family access. This should be done at the same time that you are signing up for classes.

Registration will remain open until May 14th. Parents can make changes - add or drop classes up until May 14th. Registration closes on May 14th at 6:00 PM. After registration closes, fees will be assigned. Fees can be paid online through RevTrac or by check.

For directions on how to register please click on the attached link . If you have issues with signing up, you can call the office at 920-826-5819.

Library News

It has been a very crazy year for libraries with the many COVID precautions and not being able to see our students in the school libraries. We have had success though in getting materials out to our students using the online library catalog for choosing items. We want to thank everyone for adjusting to this new arrangement and for returning materials in a timely manner. To assist families in knowing what students have checked out, we will be starting to send out weekly overdue notices to parents and guardians through email. These emails will have the cost of items in case any payments need to be made for materials not returned at the end of the school year. The date to return all materials is May 21st. And, if your child is missing items and a financial hardship exists, please contact me at: penelope.stuiber@of-ps.org or contact your school library during school hours.

And, just a reminder...all of the ebooks and audiobooks that students have been able to access during the school year are STILL available for use using their same school login from Classlink using a personal device.
