A Note from Mr. D'Amico
We got off to a great start to the school year, and I'd like to thank everyone- teachers, students, families, and school staff for contributing to our success! I hope that each and every one of your students found something new and exciting this week, and that they feel welcomed here at NFHS.
A special shout-out this week goes to our school counselors who have helped our students and teachers navigate their schedules, including two dozen students new to our town, which is especially challenging as our enrollment has now topped 700 students again! They are also helping our seniors with post-high school applications and planning and attending to many other needs of over 200 students each. Thanks counselors!
We have a busy month ahead with the start of activities and sports, school pictures, Open House, and more. I hope to see all of you around campus soon!
School Photo Information (Including Retakes)
Sophomore and Juniors who did not have their photo taken on 9/7 will have their photos taken next Friday, September 16th during English and Social Studies classes.
School photos will be used for identification cards.
Photos Available of School Events
All photojournalism events, including sports and special events, that will be requested to be photographed by the professional photographers at Legacy Studios will be available for parents to view and purchase online. All events are uploaded within 2-3 business days.

Guitar Club
The New Fairfield High School Guitar Club will begin meeting on Tuesday September 20th and continue each Tuesday thereafter.
Guitar Club is open to any and all students who are interested in playing guitar or bass. Experienced players and rookies are all welcome. The club provides lessons and instruction to inexperienced players. The club also has some extra guitars and amplifiers. If your child wishes to learn guitar, the Guitar Club is a great place to begin at no cost.
