The Weekly Howl
St. Francis Catholic School - Sunday, November 15th
Dear Parents & Friends of SFCS,
Thank you everyone who donated their leftover Halloween candy to Operation Morale Support last week! Everyone enjoyed dressing patriotically for our heroes that answer the call to service in protection of our national liberties! Thank you to all our Veterans!!! You will see in this edition of the Howl a few activities that the students did in their classes to recognize and show appreciation for our Veterans.
This weekend is our School Family Mass this weekend. We made announcements reminding the students on Friday. I apologize for not getting another reminder out to the parents directly earlier. If your child(ren) wore his or her school mass uniform to mass this weekend please send me the picture via email and we will get them a NUT Card.
Important deadline is coming up for the FSA Reindeer Run. Check out more details below in the FSA section.
There are 7 more school days left until Thanksgiving Recess! I know the students and faculty are looking forward to this time. It has been a long stretch since our last break and everyone has been working very hard. I am thankful that we are in a community that is so dedicated to the intellectual and spiritual formation of our students.
Have a great remainder to your weekend!
Sincerely in Christ,
Brian Pope
Principal

- As a reminder, please keep your mask on except to consume communion. We are hearing of numbers of COVID19 soaring in other communities. We need to keep each other safe. Remember that you are wearing your mask to protect others. Also, please remember to keep your 6 feet social distance from your neighbor when you enter, sit, and exit the church.
- If you wish to receive communion on the tongue, please let the priest know prior to the beginning of Mass. He will then know to come back to the altar with his vestments on after Mass is done. Please kneel in the front pews of the Church (socially distanced from others) with your mask on. Please do not come forward to receive communion on the tongue during Mass. We have many, many people who are coming to Mass who have health issues and we do not want to make them feel unsafe.
- The St. Francis annual Spiritual Adoption Program’s babies are now three months old. During the third amazing month, the baby’s fingernails and toenails form and he has his own unique set of fingerprints. He is sensitive to touch and will tightly grasp an object placed in his hand. He can now squint, swallow and move his tongue. And around nine weeks he begins to suck his tongue. It is not too late to participate to save a baby and his/her parent. Please pledge to daily pray the following prayer: “Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted, who is in danger of abortion”. (Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen)The
