Family Weekly New
October 1, 2018
Dear Brooklyn Collaborative Families,
What an absolute delight to see so many of you at Curriculum Night. It was great to see you take advantage of an opportunity to meet with your childโs teachers and learn more about the work they are doing in their classes and specific ways you may support.
Our Art teacher Jill's art show was a success - showcasing student work from the black light study and our Wings of Courage. Enjoy some of the wonderful photos below.
Curriculum Night is a special night for us. Over the years, many families have described the evening as a โhomecomingโ! We want all families to treat Brooklyn Collaborative as their โhome away from home.โ We are crew and are committed to doing our best each and every day and collaborating with you to meet the needs of your children.
Join us on Friday morning, October 5th, from 8:15 โ 9:00 a.m. to kick off our First Fridays: Family Breakfast Series with School Leaders Scill, Amanda, and Imani. A light breakfast with coffee and tea will be provided. We will engage you in a discussion about mastery based grading, what it looks like at BCS, and how you can support your child as a learner.
Later Friday evening, we look forward to you bringing one of your favorite dishes and joining us for our New Families Fall Potluck from 5:30 โ 7:30 p.m. in the school yard. All families are welcome.
In partnership,
Scill, Amanda, Imani (BCS School Leaders)
Tracey (BCS Parent Coordinator)
