Valentines Day
Students will practice alphabetizing the cards and place them in their friends' Valentine containers.
We will open the Valentines on Feb 14th after recess and enjoy the kind messages from our friends.
Following our school and district Wellness policy, Valentines may not include candy or food of any kind.
Flu Season!
One more thing, in the winter time we often have dry air and chapped lips. Feel free to add some chapstick to your student's backpack.
Book Share Project - Reading the Book - Taking Notes
- The Image here shows a sample of a filled out project page.
- Students should have selected books at the library to read for a Book Share Project before Winter Break. This should be a fiction chapter book that they have not read before at an appropriate level for them. Each student has selected a book and should be reading and taking notes.
- The book share project info is in their Google Classroom and I have linked another copy here for parents to see. They will complete the one in their Google Classroom.
Here is what they need to do:
- Read the book
- Take notes about important ideas, thoughts, questions, etc. to help them in completing their project.
- Complete the summary and add details and favorite sentences to the Book Share document.
- Choose a Book Share Project from the list.
- Complete their project choice - bring in on 2/20 to share.
