Question #1

Question: Mr. Twain in your new book, I enjoyed your allusion to Robin Hood when the boys were playing games on the island. Why did you choose that allusion?

Answer: That is a very good question. I came up with the allusion of Robin Hood because I have a clear memory in my head of me and my best buds going into the forests, and playing Robin Hood together so I thought that Tom should enjoy that to because it comes along with his personality of being a fun adventurous character.

Question #2

Question: So Mr. Twain, where did you get the ideas for your book?

Answer: Well, the book is outlined loosely around my childhood memories and some memories I have made later in my life.

Question #3

Question: Why did you choose the south for the settings in your book?

Answer: For starters, its more easy to make dialect for the south. If you think about it, its harder to write dialect for New York then it is to write dialect for Texas. Also because it was the time of a revolution and a lot was different there then it is now. I wanted people to go back in time and experience what it was like.
