Here are some important things for students & parents to know about what testing will look like this year:
- The testing sessions begin around 8:00am and will last approximately 3 hours. Unless there is an emergency, please do not plan for any early dismissals during this window of time. We need students to be on time for school during these days (7:20am).
- No phones, smart watches, airpods, etc. may be used during the testing session at any time.
- Students will be expected to have their hoods down during the testing session.
- Laptops should be charged overnight so they're ready to be used during testing. Spare chargers and loaner laptops are extremely limited.
- Students will eat lunches in the classrooms on their grade level's testing days.
- Water in a sealable container is the only acceptable food / drink during testing.

Free Online Tutoring for Students
When they sign up, they will get an email from NCVPS with the link for their session, and a link to cancel or reschedule if needed. Please reinforce to students that they should be respectful of tutors' time and not be "no-shows" if they sign up for a time.
Students who do not have Internet access at home or need a quiet place to attend tutoring are welcome at the Selma Burke Community Center.
We hope your students will take advantage of this "EDvantage"!!
