TPCS Family Update
September 20th to 24th
Important Updates
Fall is here and things are going really well at The Prince Charles School. The teachers have been gathering literacy and numeracy assessments on students in both English and French so that we can track their progress through the year. Monitoring student progress and making data informed decisions is very important to us at TPCS. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher if you are concerned or looking for an update on your child's progress as we move into the fall term.
We are thrilled to have over 110 students from Grades 3 to 8 participating in the Cross Country Running Team. The group is so large that we needed to split the group in two and have groups running at both recesses. We are so proud of our students progress so far and will continue to encourage them to participate. Soccer is also starting up for Grade 7 and 8 students beginning next week. The Soccer practices will be held after school. Any student interested in participating must have a signed permission form.
The School Council had their first meeting last week. There is an update below on the projects School Council is working on. Please consider volunteering to support School Council as many hands make light work.
As always, reach out to us at the school if you have questions.
Take care and BEE well,
Mrs. Nitschke, Mme Aikens and the TPCS School Team

School Council Updates
Chair: Amanda Pringle
Co-chairs: Kelly MacDonald & Sara Taylor
Treasurer: Justine Feeney
Secretary: Erin Thrower
Hot Lunch Coordinator: Chantell McMahon
The School Council is excited to bring hot lunch back to TPCS this year. They are hoping to run hot lunches and Pizza days as they have done in the past. In order to run hot lunch, School Council needs a team of volunteers who could assist with distributing Pizza on Fridays or support the Catering Company on Mondays. You do not need to be available every Monday or Friday between 11:15 and 12:45 pm. If they can pull together a large group of volunteers we can reduce the work load for everyone. All volunteers who come into the school would need to complete the vaccine attestation form. If you would be willing to assist with hot lunch, please email Mrs. Nitschke at nitschkek@limestone.on.ca and she will pass the information on to School Council.
The School Council is also recruiting volunteers who may be interested in assisting with small fundraising activities this year. If you are interested in being part of a fundraising committee please email pringleam@limestone.on.ca
Next Virtual Meeting: Wednesday, November 17th, 2021 at 6:30 pm
We are looking forward to a great year!
