National School Counseling Week

This year’s theme for NSCW is, "School Counseling: The Recipe for Success," and will be celebrated from Feb. 1-5, 2016, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of professional school counselors within U.S. school systems. National School Counseling Week, sponsored by American School Counselors Association or ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. ASCA is changing the title from “Guidance Counselor” to “School Counselor.”

Please make sure to let Wendy know how we appreciate her!!!

An additional bell has been added to our end of the day routine. The 3:32 bell will continue, but this bell is to notify teachers that it is time to pack up and prepare to leave. The new bell will ring at 3:35. The purpose of this bell is to let teachers know it is time to leave your area and begin dropping students off at walker, bus, and car areas. Please walk your students to each location and do not let them scatter when the bell rings. Also, please do not leave prior to the 3:35 bell.

If you are support staff and have an after school duty please be at your assigned location prior to the 3:35 bell ringing; classroom teachers who are assigned to assist in that area will join you once they have dropped students off at their assigned locations. If your grade is assigned to the gym, please remember one teacher should help with bus riders and it has also been requested that when helping in the gym teachers bring the grade level radio and a whistle.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask me or your BLT Representative.

QRI~Grades 3, 4,5

Please let me know if you have any questions.
