McDaniel Memo

Friday, May 6th

Thank You!!

I want to take a moment to thank everyone for all the notes, flowers, treats, books, hugs, gift cards, and other surprises. I really feel appreciated and feel blessed to spend my days with your children.

We will be reviewing important reading skills over the next several weeks through centers, task cards, and other small group reading activities.

We are continuing our poetry unit. We worked on a color poem and a poem about the five senses.

Words Their Way-

No sort next week due to the Zionsville Walking Tour

Chapter 11 will cover probability. We will then continue to review important skills for the rest of the year.

We have begun learning about all the parts of a shark that will be important to the dissection. We continue to focus on the external features and the digestive system.

Students will need to learn the information and pass the shark test in order to participate in the shark dissection. The shark test will be on Tuesday, May 17th. There will be an opportunity for a retake if students do not pass the test the first time.

Last Day of School Picnic

The third grade classes will have a special lunch on the last day of school. The email will be sent out today!
