Transportation Information
BES 2022-2023 - Important - Please review carefully
Dear BES Families,
In order to make sure that students arrive and dismiss from school safely and appropriately, please review the below and respond to the information requests that apply to your family.
From car visor tags to student backpack tags, we are putting multiple tools in place to streamline and safeguard the process.
We need the help of every family to prepare for a successful start to our new school year!
Thank you,
BES Staff
BES Car Rider Registration - Please complete Registration Form
As we continue to prepare for the first day, it is important to know which families are planning on being car riders.
PLEASE complete the below even if you did so last year. It must be done again for each year.
There will be two phases for car riders:
Phase A (3:30-3:45 pm) Students with the last names A-L
Phase B (3:45-4 pm) Students with the last names M-Z
Families will receive a number (visor tag) to help expedite the pick up process.
If your child will be a car rider on a regular basis, complete the registration form below (one form for each child).
Every family must re-register for this school year even if you were a car rider last school year. We will have new color tags to issue this school year.
Visor tags will be available for pick up at Open House based on pre-registration.
If you have additional questions, please email Jason Rubeling (thomas.rubeling@fcps.org)
Bus Information - IMPORTANT
Students who are eligible for bus transportation will be routed and dropped off at the bus stop identified for their home address on record.
If your student is eligible for bus transportation, but requires a different drop off stop due to daycare, please call the BES front office. This change will need to be entered into the transportation system prior to the start of the school year.
We cannot make daily changes to bus use or drop off stops.
Eligibility for Bus Transportation is determined by FCPS Policies and Regulations. Bus information will be available after 6 am on August 6. To find out if your student is eligible for bus transportation and what bus stop they will utilize, please use the following links:
This site will be available as of 6 AM on August 6. It is not available at this time. We will be dismissing students based on the information we have in our transportation data base. Please contact us immediately if any changes have occurred.
Online Bus Stop Information - https://www.fcps.org/transportation/bus-stop-information-online (you will need your child's student ID and their birthdate) (Student ID information can be found on their report cards and we will be giving this information out during our open house)
Bus Status Information (Delays and Cancellations) - https://apps.fcps.org/transportation/status

OPEN HOUSE - Transportation Verification
Families will be asked to verify the accuracy of the transportation information on record for their child during Open House.

If you are unable to attend Open House and you are aware of the need for a transportation change (example: daycare address, home address change, etc...), please call our front office as soon as possible to avoid issues during the first days of school.
