What to expect
Azaysha & Kendall
The first trimester is different for everyone. For the mom, some people get morning sickness, there is an increase in your sex drive, there is also the risk of miscarriage. You should also eat 300 or so more calories a day. For the baby, they are the size of a kidney, the heart rate increases, intestines form, and baby's face starts taking shape.
The second trimester, the mom will gain most of her weight, mainly from food cravings which you'll have till the end of your pregnancy, regain most of her energy. There are also very hormonal/emotional, they tend to have some anxiety, you get some stretch marks, and the baby starts to move. For the baby, facial muscles are working out, arms become proportioned with the rest of the body, kidneys produce urine, skeleton hardens from cartilage to bone, develops the ability to hear, and heart pumps 25 quarts of blood per day. That number continues to grow as your baby grows.
The third trimester, there is a lot less sleep due to the growing anxiety you have awaiting your baby's arrival and being uncomfortable. Your breast become very tender and milk glands are developed. Sometime you have lactation before you even give birth. For the baby, eyes begin to open, bones and nervous system are fully developed. The baby begins to detect light, they start blinking, their hair starts growing, and they practice breathing. Also, the baby gains most of their weight in the third trimester.
