Howdy Trailblazers!
This past month the Guidance Department was busy with lessons on Anti-Bullying and Healthy Habits. We celebrated #BlueUpTogether for World Day of Bullying Prevention and Red Ribbon Week. This month we will focus on college and career readiness along with gratitude.
Make Us Happier:
Simply journaling for five minutes a day about what we are grateful for can enhance our long-term happiness by over 10% (Emmons & McCullough, 2003; Seligman, Steen, Park, & Peterson, 2005)! It turns out that noticing what we already have can make us feel more positive about our lives.
Healthy Habits for Kids
Here are some great healthy habits for all students.
Building SEL skills at Home
At home, you may strive to create an environment of trust, respect, and support. Remember that modeling "emotionally intelligent" behavior at home is the first step in nurturing emotionally intelligent children.

Gratitude Game
You may utilize pick up sticks, M&Ms or Skittles with this game. When the color is picked, the participant will answer the question that corresponds to the color.
