The Comal ISD Marching Band Exhibition is Monday, October 3rd. We are still looking at a few chaperones and load crew for this performance. Please considering signing up here if you have already completed the Comal ISD background check. All 5 marching band in Comal ISD will be performing their marching shows. Tickets are $5, and all proceeds go towards college scholarships. Tickets can be purchased here.

Students need to bring all formal uniform parts with them to school on Monday.

• 4:30 pm - Feed the Band
• 5:15 pm - Change into uniform
• 5:45 pm - Inspection
• 6:00 pm - Leave for SVHS
• 6:45 pm - Arrive at SVHS and unload
• 7:30 pm - First band performs
• 7:50 pm - DHS Performance
• 8:10 pm - Load truck
• 8:30 pm - Watch bands, last performance at 9 pm
• 9:30 pm - Depart SVHS
• 10:20 pm - Parent pickup @ DHS after unloading the truck

We will be marching in the Homecoming Parade and playing at the Community Pep Rally at Paul Davis Park on Wednesday, October 5th. Here is the flyer. We will be wearing our summer uniforms.

Students need to stay after school to take a bus to where the parade begins. Percussion and tuba players will ride the bus back to the school to unload their instrument. All other students will need to be picked up from Paul Davis Park at 7:30 pm and then taken back to DHS to put their instrument away.

The drumline will be performing at Garden Ridge Elementary School Friday morning. Call time at GRES is 6:45 am. We will perform from 7:00-7:30 am. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from GRES with their instrument.

Parents, please consider signing up to volunteer as a chaperone or load crew if you have already completed the CISD background check here. The sign up to volunteer is here. Tickets to the game can be purchased here. Parents who are not volunteering as load crew or chaperones may not enter the band section in the stands. Please note that parents are not allowed to sit in the students section next to the band.

Students may wear one mum to the football game and pep rally on Friday. They must take their mum off for our halftime performance.

Students need to bring these items with them to school on Friday.

• Jeans and band polo for pep rally
• Grey Wolf Band water bottle filled with ice and water
• Band uniform parts – long black socks, marching shoes, compression shirt and shorts, gloves, band ball cap, athletic shorts for run-through.
• Color guard uniform parts – show hair and makeup, bodytights, black socks, show undergarments, and guard shoes.

Spectator entry is $7 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children 5 and under. Shirts and patches will be available. We will be competing in the 4A category against 4 other bands. Here is a map with spectator parking information. Here is the contest schedule.

Students who failed a class on the 6-week progress report will not be eligible to attend football games and marching competitions starting with the homecoming game on October 7th. We will notify students of their eligibility status on Monday.

We have two sets of remind groups.

• The first is for directors to communicate with both parents and students. We used this Friday to let everyone know the game was delayed 30 minutes due to rain.
• The second is for section parents to communicate with parents in their section.
