REMINDER: Speaking Out Against Racism and Hate: Speech by Superintendent Dr. Monifa B. McKnight
The rise of incidents of hate, bias, racism, antisemitism, and LGBTQ+ prejudice has grown significantly over recent months. It now requires us all to be a loud voice in opposition to the impact these are having on communities. Montgomery County Public Schools have not been immune to the influence of these factors. When our students feel threatened, fear for their
emotional and physical safety and are afraid to be their authentic selves at school–as scholars, then we must speak up. Superintendent Dr. Monifa McKnight has and continues to proactively address these incidents.
In a speech on Thursday, April 27, Dr. McKnight will speak to this issue and its impact on the county’s children and school system. The time has come to commit to working together against all forms of hate.
You are cordially invited to Rockville High School on April 27 at 4:00 p.m. to hear a speech by Superintendent Dr. Monifa B. McKnight.
Important Note: Seating is limited, and this invitation is non-transferable—Please RSVP
