The Warrior Way
Watkins Memorial High School
September 23, 2022
Hello Warrior Families!
Homecoming Week tends to make us feel nostalgic, while at the same time, working with kids we seem to be always looking toward the future. Pictured below are the west campus (current home of WIS and WMHS) site before building started, the site currently, and the progress on the athletic campus. Tennis courts are moving along quickly, and you can even see the shape of baseball/softball fields!

Warrior Wellness
We are excited to announce that Wednesday, September 28 will be entirely focused on student wellness. The day is filled with activities and presentations in variety of areas to promote safety, well-being, and planning for the future. Every student will be given the opportunity to debrief and complete a survey about the content presented and given the chance to ask any questions and offer feedback.
The following topics will be covered:
Drinking, Drugs, and Vaping
Relationships and Boundaries
Human Trafficking
Emotional Resilience
Safe Driving
Social Media Safety
Mental Health (freshmen and juniors)
Future Planning (sophomores and seniors)
Being successful does not just include academic performance, but also having social and emotional wisdom. It is our hope that students will end the day feeling better prepared to navigate their world safely and successfully.

Family Feedback
Families, we want to hear from you. We do our best to support our students and families, however we know at times there are things we might miss, related to academic needs, friendships and relationships, mental health, and safety. Your voice is important to us as we reflect on what we can do better to support our students and families. We know that we can best support kids when we work in partnership with families and the community.
