5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony
Yearbook: The yearbook has been sent to the printer. Thank you for all of the great photos you shared. We can't wait to see the finished product in a couple of months!
Book Fair: Our Buy One Get One Scholastic Book Fair will be held the week of May 16th. A call for volunteers will be going out soon.
Helping Hoops: Our DN staff is gearing up to play against the Fire Dept. on Friday, May 6th at the Saratoga Springs High School. Each grade level will be putting together a themed basket to be raffled off (a detailed letter will be coming home). Any donations you can contribute are greatly appreciated. The proceeds from this event go towards the SNACPack Program which provides food to children in our district when other resources may not be available.
Golf Tournament: Golfer registration forms are now available for our Oct. 1st event. We also have sponsorship and donation opportunities available. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to get involved.
Staff Appreciation Luncheon:
Calling all bakers! On Wednesday, May 4th we will be celebrating all our faculty and staff members at our annual luncheon. If you have a special dessert item that you are known for and would love to contribute, please let us know! Allergy friendly items welcomed...(gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free)
We are also looking for some pop up tents to use that day. If you have one we could borrow, let us know that too!
Autism Expo and Art Exhibit
On Sunday, April 10, 2016 the 5th annual Autism Expo and Art Exhibit will be held at the Saratoga Springs City Center in Saratoga Springs, New York.
This is a FREE event that offers fun for the whole family!
Saratoga Regional Youth Arts
SRYA is a summer theater arts program that is a collaboration between BOCES, Saratoga School District and CR Kids Production. Camps are for students entering Kindergarten in Sept 2016-HS Seniors and are held at Lake Avenue and Maple Avenue schools. Questions can be directed to
5th Grade Moving Up DVD
Don't forget to get your child's 5th grade photos in for the Fifth Grade Moving Up DVD. We are asking that all photos are turned in no later than April 22nd.
Please label each photo with each student's name and grade. For example, a photo of John Smith and Jane Doe in fifth grade would be labeled as jsmith jdoe 5.
Photos may be submitted by sending in a flash drive, cd or dvd. All photos and devices will be returned as soon as possible.
SNACPack Food Drive
The SNACPack program is designed to meet the needs of hungry children on weekends, when other resources are not available. The program provides backpacks filled with food that is child-friendly, shelf-stable, and easily-consumed. Bags are packed each week by volunteers and discreetly distributed to participating children every Friday afternoon.
The SNACPack program will be collecting goods at Dorothy Nolan. They are looking for 4 items which include:
- Protein Bars
- Mac & Cheese, Water Only type (Ex. Easy Mac, Velveeta)
- 100% Juice Boxes
- Pasta (any type)
Donations can be dropped off in the front lobby. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
