This is my fifth year here at Wellington and I am so excited to continue to work with the students, parents and all the programs that are available to our students. I will be working with Kinder, 2nd, and 4th grade students this year.

Child Protection Unit Parent Preview

Thursday, Jan. 30th, 3:15-4pm

The WES Counseling Department will host a preview of our curriculum concerning child safety. Please come view posters and videos that discuss Safety Rules; Touching Rules; and the 8 Never Nevers.

Bullying Prevention

What's Ms. Stewart teaching?

4th Grade: Students will review: RECOGNIZE; REPORT; REFUSE by watching videos and class discussions. We will also discuss ways to assertively REFUSE bullying at school. CYBERBULLYING will be introduced. We will discuss the measures we should take when we see cyberbullying.



A group activity will continue to reinforce the skills we have discussed in the Bullying Prevention Unit.


2nd Grade: Second grade students will work to RECOGNIZE bullying in videos and games we play in class. Students will also learn to assertively REFUSE bullying at school. We will continue to discuss REPORTing bullying to a trusted adult.

Kindergarten: Students and I will discuss being a good friend as a way to stop bullying. We will read one of my favorite books Stick and Stone. Students will complete some interactive activities to complete the lesson.
